The Schmidts Institute is my private counseling practice in The Hague, providing warm, practical mental health counseling in English for internationals, expats, and professionals navigating life's challenges and transitions. Drawing on 16+ years of experience as a U.S.-licensed social worker, I offer a collaborative and conversational approach to anxiety, stress, burnout, relationships, grief, identity, and major life changes. I believe counseling can be meaningful and effective without always feeling heavy—and that there's room for laughter along the way.
