Cynthia Nava

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and founder of Willow & Sage Counseling with over 30 years of experience helping adults navigate trauma, grief, anxiety, shame, mood disorders, and major life transitions. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, including religious trauma, first-generation experiences, and grief and loss, using approaches such as Narrative Therapy and Brainspotting to help clients understand the deeper stories shaping their lives. What makes my work unique is my ability to combine deep emotional insight with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach that honors both the nervous system and personal meaning-making. I help clients move beyond survival mode by exploring patterns rooted in trauma, culture, family systems, and identity while building healthier narratives, emotional regulation, and sustainable change.
