I am a person-centred therapist working in a flexible way to meet the needs of my clients. This means that through my work I aim to provide a safe space to discuss the problems or issues you may be experiencing. I work integratively to create a non-judgmental and supportive place for you to explore your problems, feelings and solutions through various interventions. I will offer a range of techniques based on your needs and comfort level, which can include art therapy, movement therapy, mindfulness and grounding techniques. If we find it appropriate, I can introduce some activities based in the CBT approach or solution focused therapy. I have a master’s Level degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Therefore, I find psychoeducation with clients to be helpful, by incorporating psychology and theories into work and using these to explain or gain a deeper understanding of your issues. I have gained experience of practicing bereavement therapy and gain offer a range of support for working with grief. I also work within school and community settings offering sessions focusing on wellbeing, parenting skills, attachment and relationships, speech and language and child development. I have gained a large amount of experience working with children and young people and their families to work through issues that they may face. I have also obtained substantial experience working with those who have SEND, particularly those who are neurodivergent. Therefore, I make my practice as welcoming and comfortable to all that see me, by offering adaptations to suit your needs.
