Brittany-June Gamble

My work with both the YWCA and Big Brothers Big Sisters involved a strong foundation in listening, empathy, and non-judgmental support. As a Women’s Advocate in transitional living, I supported women through crisis, instability, and difficult life transitions by offering emotional support, advocacy, and a steady presence during hard moments. Through Big Brothers Big Sisters, I built supportive relationships with children, youth, and families and learned the importance of consistency, trust, and meeting people where they are. Both roles strengthened my ability to listen carefully, respond with compassion, hold boundaries, and support people in ways that are person-centred and respectful.
