As a counselor, my primary role is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients felt heard, understood, and supported. I practiced active listening, empathy, and emotional validation to help individuals express their thoughts and feelings openly. I assisted in identifying clients concerns, exploring underlying emotional patterns, and facilitating self-awareness. Rather than offering direct solutions, I guided clients toward insight, helping them develop coping strategies and make informed decisions independently.
