About

I am an MSc Clinical Health Psychology and Wellbeing graduate with a BSc in Psychology with Counselling Skills, seeking a Therapy Intern position to develop practical experience in therapeutic and mental health support. I have a strong academic foundation in CBT principles, psychological assessment, behaviour change, and person-centred communication. My training and experience have developed my emotional intelligence, reflective practice, and ability to build safe, trusting relationships with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional distress. Through volunteering at Ash Court Care Home and completing Samaritans Listening Training, I strengthened my active listening, empathy, and emotional containment skills, supporting vulnerable people in a calm and non-judgmental way. I am committed to ethical practice, confidentiality, and trauma-informed care, and I value working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. I am motivated to support individuals to understand their experiences, develop coping strategies, and move towards improved wellbeing. I bring warmth, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine commitment to learning and professional development within a therapeutic setting.
