As a listener, I offer an open and non-judgmental space to address and talk about a client's problems and issues that they go through. Sometimes, simply talking about an issue that has been plaguing the client can help more than anything. Instead of offering solutions, suggestions or advice on what they could have done, what they should have done or what they could do, as an active listener, I aim to provide a listening ear with empathy and help the client address their issues at their own pace.
