As a Psychology graduate currently pursuing my Master’s in Mental Health Psychological Therapies at Queen Mary University of London, I bring both academic knowledge and practical experience in supporting individuals through mental health challenges. My background includes working in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, and child development centers, where I have developed strong empathetic listening skills and a deep respect for each individual's emotional experience. Through my internships and research, I have actively engaged in: Observing and supporting individual and group therapy sessions (including CBT-based interventions). Participating in psychoanalytic and trauma-informed approaches. Listening to patients dealing with complex emotional and psychological conditions such as substance use, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Understanding the non-verbal and emotional layers of communication through working closely with children, adolescents, and adults in clinical contexts. I am passionate about creating safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environments where people feel genuinely heard. My experience in various therapeutic settings has taught me the importance of active listening not just as a skill, but as a healing presence. With strong ethical awareness, cultural sensitivity, and fluency in both English and Turkish, I aim to contribute meaningfully as a Listener — someone who can offer grounded support, attentive presence, and human connection to those who need to be heard.
