I'm have currently been volunteering as a peer counsellor for a couple of months, and have also volunteered as a peer counsellor during university for approximately a year. I provide free online counselling services through chat for various clients, and offer a space for clients to discuss their thoughts, emotions, and troubles while offering advice and guidance if needed. I've also been provided with light training sessions focusing on building micro-counselling and active listening skills, as well as psychoeducation and general approaches, including general assessment and intervention points and techniques we can employ andn and identify as peer counsellors, for clients with more severe issues along the lines of suicidal ideation and self-harm.
